Laser Tattoo Removal
Laser technology has made it possible to remove unwanted tattoos via a faster and safer method that ever before. No longer will patients need to consider skin-damaging treatments such as acid removal, excision, and dermabrasion. Today’s aesthetic lasers offer a proven alternative for safer and more effective ink removal.
Lasers remove the ink by targeting ink’s pigment with a high intensity light beam causing it break up into smaller molecules. The ink is then absorbed by the natural bodily processes, fading the tattoo until it is no longer visible.
Why Laser Skin Rejuvenation Treatment?
The Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser adopts the patented PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse™ (PTP mode™) which produce energy up to 1600mj. It is unique pulse engineering. It’s laser can provide a higher output power, and nanosecond pulse widths from very high speed’s shutter. It can increase the efficiency and safety. And also reduce heat, the discomfort and side effects of the treatment. It’s an advanced technique for tattoo removal.
Why Laser Tattoo Removal?
It’s Effective, focused and safe treatment to remove unwanted tattoo.
The Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser adopts the patented PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse ™ (PTP mode™) which produce energy up to 1600mj. It provides very narrow pulse widths at peak energy, even at larger spot sizes, enabling deeper penetration for efficient removal of tattoo inks.
Wavelengths selected for tattoo removal are well absorbed by tattoo ink, but not other chromophores in the skin. The Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser used is approved as gold standard tools for tattoo removal, up to four different wavelengths can be selected to remove multiple colors of tattoo ink.
The light energy gently vibrates and shatters the tattoo ink into micro-particles that are eventually eliminated through the body’s natural processes. The patented PTP mode™ delivers the energy in a very precise ‘beam,’ with less heat and increased safety, without damaging the surrounding skin.
How many laser treatments are needed to remove a tattoo?
The number of treatments depends on
• Unique immune system
• our skin tone
• Type of colors used
• Type of ink used
• Depth of tattoo
• Age of tattoo
On average, professional tattoos need a minimum of 6 treatments, some may require up to 20 treatments or more.
How long between each session?
It depends on where the tattoo is located, usually it will take a minimum of around 6 weeks to 12 weeks between each session.
Will the tattoo completely disappear?
After the first treatments, you’ll notice a temporary whitening of the treated area. Over time, the tattoo will fade and the skin returns to normal color. Lasers will generally eliminate about 95% of the tattoo.
Does laser tattoo removal hurt?
The Q-Switched lasers with PhotoAcoustic energy emit light in very short pulses. Some may say the pulses of light feel similar to snaps of small rubber bands on the skin, followed by a feeling of warmth. Because the tattoo ink absorbs the laser energy, some may feel mild discomfort as the beam traces the design. If necessary, topical anesthetic cream can also be used.
What type of post-treatment care is necessary?
An antibacterial cream will be applied immediately after treatment and the area must be kept clean. It’s advised to follow post-treatment instructions. The treated area should not be scrubbed. If a scab forms it is important that you do not pick or scratch it. It is advised to avoid direct sun exposure and always apply sunscreen after treatment.
